A film about Hans Andersen.
On April 2, 1805, Hans Christian Andersen was born at Odense in Denmark-the son of a poor shoemaker. Today his fairy tales are known and loved by children all over the world.
This film, which reconstructs the story of Hans Andersen's life, has been specially produced by the Danish Government in honour of the hundred and fiftieth anniversary of the writer's birth.
