The society of The Knights of Avalon was founded by Sir Edward Gifford to revive the pageantry of the Middle Ages. But now, under the evil guidance of Sir Giles Marley , it has been re-dedicated to the ritual execution of criminals who have escaped the hand of the law. Sir Edward himself, stumbling on the secret, is swiftly executed.
