A Greek Renaissance Composer

Few Greeks were active as composers during the 16th century. Though
Francesco Londariti was born and died in Heraklion in Crete, his musical career took him to Venice,
Munich and Augsburg. During the 1560s he was hailed as one of the four greatest composers active in Venice.
