Opera on 3: The Turk in Italy

on BBC Radio 3

As part of English National Opera's Italian Season, David Fielding's new production of Rossini's witty comedy is presented live in a new English translation by Kit Hesketh-Harvey. The opera is a tale of amorous goings-on between the flighty young heroine - already involved in a menage a trois - and a dashing young Turk.
