5: In his final creative period,
Copland revisited some of his earlier pieces and refined his style. Today's programme includes recordings made by the Ulster Orchestra, conductor Vernon Handley , of Orchestral Variations and Inscape, interpersed with some of the Poems of Emily Dickinson sung by three different sopranos - Barbara Bonney , Dawn Upshaw and Barbara Hendricks. Repeated next Friday 12 midnight
