Private Passions

on BBC Radio 3

Michael Berkeley's guest today is Nicholas Hytner, who is currently directing Shakespeare's A Winter's Tale at the Royal National Theatre. Later this summer he directs Mother Clap's Molly House, a new play by Mark Ravenhill, in the Lyttelton Theatre. His musical choices range from songs by Sondheim and Ella Fitzgerald to a Handel aria, a Haydn string quartet, a Stravinsky ballet and a movement from Janacek's Sinfonietta.
