The Day Lennon Died

on BBC Radio 2

Radio 2 marks the 25th anniversary of the violent death of John Lennon with four hours of programming broadcast in conjunction - and simultaneously - with Sirius Satellite Radio, which airs, commercial-free, right across America. In this inaugural hour, Mark Radcliffe sketches a detailed portrait of the enduringly iconic singer/songwriter with a look at the many facets of his personal life and his musical legacy both with and without the Beatles.
Contributors include Yoko Ono as well as Lennon's childhood and school friends, plus archive input from Lennon.
