A Scheme for Savouries
AMBROSE HEATH
Last week Ambrose Heath , the well-known cookery expert, gave a talk on Varying Vegetables ; this evening he is to discuss a Scheme for Savouries. As an Englishman, Ambrose Heath is naturally a savoury enthusiast and, unlike Continental chefs and gourmets, sees the savoury as an essential dish in the English dinner.
His book ' Good Savouries ', published at the beginning of the year, is already a best-seller. He has been cookery correspondent for The Morning Post for the last three years, and is a frequent contributor to other leading periodicals. Several articles by him have appeared on the Home Page of THE RADIO TIMES.
This evening, Ambrose Heath will give certain basic ingredients from which a round of savouries can be made without notice should friends drop in to dinner.
