Comedy starring Steve Martin, Mary Steenburgen, Dianne Wiest

Determined that his kids will have a happier childhood than his own, Gil Buckman agonises over his eldest son, whose emotional problems threaten to consign him to a special school. Meanwhile, Gil's sister, Susan, wants to divert her husband Nathan's attention from his obsessive education of their 3-year-old daughter. And Gil's father is forced to reassess his own paternal role. All discover that parents' expectations for their children rarely match reality.
