The ducal palace at Urbino In the Italian province of Marche Is one of the masterpieces of early Renaissance architecture. It was the creation of Frederigo da Montefeltro who gathered around himself such artists as Piero della Francesca, Leon Battista Alberti and the mysterious Luciano Laurana.
