played by Max Rostal and Franz Osbom (piano)
Max Rostal is well known both as a violinist and as a teacher. He gave his first recital in London at the Wigmore Hall a few years ago, and he has been broadcasting regularly ever since. Franz Osborn was quite a young boy when Artur Schnabel heard him play and insisted that he should become a pianist. He has toured all over Europe, and is well known to listeners. He has given many first performances, notably that of Sinfonia Concertante for piano and orchestra by William Walton.
