This band, formed in 1971, was one of the first to combine ethnic, jazz and classical styles in their music. Three of the original members, Ralph Towner (piano, guitars), Paul McCandless (reeds), and Glen Moore (bass), remain with the group which also includes
Trilok Gurtu (tabla, percussion). Richard Cook introduces this recording from the Queen Elizabeth Hall , and during the interval talks to Ralph Towner.
