Night Waves

on BBC Radio 3

Patrick Wright talks to Francis Fukuyama , the controversial theorist who in 1989, with the Eastern bloc crumbling around him, suggested that we had reached "the end of history". In his new book, Our
Posthuman Future: Consequences of the Biotechnology Revolution, he argues that the most significant threat from biotechnology is "the possibility that it will alter human nature and thereby move us into a 'posthuman' stage of history."
