IAN KENNEDY argues that the principles underlying such decisions must be provided by society. that they are not simply a matter for doctors to use or reject as they see fit.
' So. put rather bluntly, what I am calling for is a wholesale re-examination of the sphere of alleged competence of the doctor.'
