Crimewatch UK 10.00 pm BBC1
Nick Ross, Sue Cook and team take up a new slot this week - not just on a different day but also at a slightly later time than usual. However, all those viewers who plan to be tucked up in bed by 10.00pm tonight will be relieved to know that Crimewatch UK will return to its usual Thursday time slot next month.
Tonight, the programme examines a baffling murder case: pensioner Ron Cousins had lived in the same Chelmsford house since he was born and was well known by everyone in the area. On 15 April this year, the day he died, he had been seen several times, shopping and having lunch at the local church. He was last seen alive at 6 o'clock watering his garden.
The police want to hear from anyone who can add any more details to the case. In particular they are anxious to trace the young man with long blonde hair who was spotted close to Ron's house earlier that day.
