Brummie comedian Jasper Carrott returns with a new six-part series and new targets for his cynical sense of humour. Tonight, his idiosyncratic monologues focus on facts and figures and royalty, while he also dons his "rug" as bungling Everyman "Wiggy" and silently examines the woes of a mechanic. There's more unfortunate sleuthing in The Detectives when Robert Powell joins Carrott to go under cover in prison to trap a notorious Mr Big, Jack "Scarface" McBride (played by James Cosmo). Plus Carrott's own commercial breaks, and contributions from Steve (Punt) and Hugh (Dennis). Also with George Sewell and Robin Griffiths.
