Land of Flowers and Heroes

on BBC One London

The Puy du Fou is a ruined chateau in western France.
It's also the home of Europe's largest outdoor spectacle where, throughout the summer months nearly 2,500 Vendeens passionately relive their history. This saga of the Renaissance, the Revolution and life through two world wars plays to capacity crowds in a blaze of light and music. Now, for the first time, the organisers have permitted television cameras to bring their extravaganza to a much wider audience. Narrated by John King.
