The 'Olympic' Challenge

on BBC One London

VIII Paralympic Games
The Paralympics in Seoul last year have been called 'The Greatest Disabled Olympics ever'! Just a fortnight after the 1988 Olympic Games ended, 242 British athletes joined 3,000 competitors from 60 countries for this celebration of achievement. The team returned home with 182 medals, including 62 gold.
Cliff Morgan was in Korea to meet the athletes and hear their stories. Among them, 16-year-old Simon Jackson from Rochdale has a tale to tell and a tune to play, in spite of being almost blind.
His sporting exploits in judo are famous while, in music, Simon wrote and played the signature tune for this programme.
