The Northern Ireland Ministry of Agriculture has been costing a number of farms for the past seven years, and a report has recently been published. Although the results are mixed and have been criticised as not being entirely satisfactory, they do point out what sections of these farms paid best and what pitfalls might be avoided by careful management.
This report, and some of the conclusions to be drawn from it. will be discussed by Peter Fitzpatrick in his talk tonight.
