WILLIAM HOLDEN
William Holden , of Brierley Hill , worked for many years in the Earl of Dudley's pits in the Black Country. He made a wonderful recovery from a'serious spinal accident thirty-four years ago. His father began to work in the pits at seven and only retired at seventy-one.
