Miss Marple:a Caribbean Mystery

on BBC One London

The last of three classic Miss Marple stories, based on Agatha Christie's books, stars Joan Hickson.
Sent on a recuperative holiday to the tropical paradise of Barbados, Miss Marple is finding it rather a dull place where nothing seems to occur. But it soon turns out to be a Garden of Eden where a dangerous serpent lurks.
Producer George Gallaccio chose the film location for this Miss Marple story purely by chance, not realising that he was using the same hotel that Agatha Christie herself did 30 years earlier. He also discovered that the real hotel owners had provided Christie with the inspiration for two of the characters (Tim and Molly Kendal) in the book.
