Paris, 1943. Two parallel worlds collide: the inner musical visions of Olivier Messiaen and the public noise of war. collaboration, resistance and impossible love. From the debris of this encounter a cycle of seven movements is born -
Creation, Stars, Agony, Desire, Angels, Judgement and Consummation.
Recreated forthe radio by Antony Pitts , including additional music performed by Bing Crosby , George Formby and Dooley Wilson , and the voices of Ekene Akalawu , Winston Churchill , CS Lewis , Kathryn Oswald , Peter Ustinov and Ellen Vince.
