Michael Berkeley talks to Australian-born travel writer Robyn Davidson, whose most recent book, Desert Places, tells of her adventures among the Indian nomadic tribes of Rajasthan. Her choices range from traditional Indian and Australian music to keyboard works by Scarlatti, Chopin and Mompou, one of Mahler's Ruckert-Lieder, part of Bach's Mass in B minor, songs by Berlioz and Bob Dylan, and Ligetl's Chamber Concerto.
