in conversation with Frank Delaney
Born into a Jewish family in Berlin, Agnes Bernelle absorbed the atmosphere of the literary and political cabarets in the 20s and 30s. A refugee in London she worked with other exiles in topical reviews, and broadcast counter-propaganda to
Germany. Her most recent venture is a musical based on the satirical poems of Joachim Ringelnatz.
