Allan Little pays tribute to Nelson Mandela as he prepares to stand down after five years as president.
Mandela trained as a lawyer and later became known as the "black pimpernel" throughout his years on the run. A show trial led to 27 years in prison on Robben Island. Fellow prisoners and colleagues talk about those years and his refusal to depart from his vision of a multi-racial ideal.
