The Inventor of Photography by Matilda Talbot
The first discovery of the principles of photography was made by an Englishman, William Henry Fox Talbot , although he did not publish his findings until after Daguerre had made known a similar discovery in 1839. This year is the 150th anniversary of the inventor's birth. In this talk his grand-daughter gives a description of his early work with quotations from certain family letters and papers in her possession.
