Everyone was pleased with the design for 'Sarah's' Christmas card. Doctor and Mrs. Dale arranged to take their 'Constable' picture to the National Gallery in the car to discover if it was authentic. Sally went to Scotland to see Grandfather Dale and bring back woollies for ohe shop. Billy was taken seriously ill the day before his birthday and Dr. Gardiner told Gwen the nature of the suspected disease and arranged for Billy to be taken to hospital. David was annoyed with Gardiner for telling Gwen before the hospital confirmed the diagnosis. Billy's temperature dropped and he showed signs of improvement.
