194b: 'fhe only survivors of a ship which sinks off north Africa are Alec, a young American boy, and a beautiful, headstrong Arab stallion. They are shipwrecked on a desolate island where Alec succeeds in taming and riding 'the Black'. After the two are rescued and return to New York, the horse is kept in a cramped back yard. Restless and unhappy, he escapes with Alec in hot pursuit....
