6:The Company Comes First
WAKO TAKAYASU is a general manager with Japan's largest trading company. YOSHIRO YOSHIOKA is a section chief with the country's major computer manufacturer. Takayasu is the traditional generalist whose promotion has depended on age and experience. Yoshioka is one of a new breed of specialists, whose rise has depended more on his own expertise and the company's success. In spite of the differences in their ages, and in the kind of work they do, they share many of the same values.
