Live from the gardens of Buckingham Palace, an incredible array of national and international singing stars take part in an historic concert of a lifetime -the culmination of BBC Music Live - followed by a street party in the Mall and a fireworks display.
In front of the 12,000 lucky people invited by the Queen through a national ballot, and in the presence of Her Majesty, the Duke of Edinburgh, the Prince of Wales, Princes William and Harry, the Princess Royal, the Duke and Duchess of Wessex and other members of the royal family, this unrivalled musical celebration of the Golden Jubilee includes performances by Paul McCartney , Elton John , S Club 7, Will Young, Ricky Martin , Tom Jones , Blue, Queen, Cliff Richard , Eric Clapton , Shirley Bassey , Phil Collins ,
Mis-Teeq, Atomic Kitten, former Beach Boy Brian Wilson , Ozzy Osbourne , Tony Bennett , and many more. The proceedings are hosted by, among others, Ben Elton and Lenny Henry , with a special guest appearance by one of Her Majesty's most loyal subjects - Dame Edna Everage.
At 10.30 the Queen leaves Buckingham Palace to join the party in the Mall, David Dimbleby describes the scenes as Her Majesty lights a beacon, the last link in a chain of flares lit across the Commonwealth and the UK earlier today. The beacon will, in turn, ignite a spectacular fireworks display from the roof of Buckingham Palace.
