Mrs. Dale, the doctor's wife, records the daily happenings in the life of her family
Script by Hazel Adair

After a very extensive search for Sally's dog, Bella - including a trip by David and Bob to Club Row - she was eventually traced to a Mrs. Leathers, a dirty but amiable resident of Breams Buildings, to whom Mrs. Dale took an immediate liking. Mrs. Dale made arrangements with Mrs. Gascoyne to form a Residents' Protest Committee against the Council's plan for Parkwood Lodge. Mrs. Crosby was asked to join, but she made it quite clear that she was in entire agreement with the Council. Mrs. Dale was accused by Mrs. Mountford of leaving her out of this committee. On the evening of Sally's birthday, she and Richard Fulton had been invited to dinner by Oswald Garnish, who lived on a houseboat. In the course of the evening there was a loud crash and they suddenly discovered they were adrift. Elaine broke the news of her engagement to Philip.
