For many people classical ballet reached its peak in the Russian tradition that evolved in St Petersburg at the end of the last century, immortalised in the great scores of Tchaikovsky. Today's programme concludes with the scintillating third act from his ballet Sleeping Beauty, and also features a less well-known score by his contemporary Glazunov.
