Mr. JULIAN HUXLEY (Honorary Lecturer in Zoology and Animal Biology in the University of London)
The nature and organisation of scientific research, although of considerable public importance, is little known to the general public. In this series Mr. Huxley will attempt to give listeners a vivid picture of scientific activity, by demonstrating in a practical way how science is striving to improve the conditions of everyday life. To this end, he will pay visits to many scientific institutions-university and commercial research laboratories, Government Departments, agricultural research stations, hospitals, and psychological institutions. In addition, he will bring to the microphone scientific workers in different fields, who will explain what they are doing and discuss their problems with Mr. Huxley.
