Nature's helicopters - the hummingbirds - are the stars of this Wildlife on One film, first shown in 1987. The smallest of birds, they perform amazing aerial athletics - they can hover motionless, fly backwards or upside down, and have the fastest wing beats of any bird.
They are, in David Attenborough's words, "some of the most dazzlingly beautiful of all birds". The film also tells the story of their partnership with plants which has lasted three million years. The plants provide nectar - high-energy fuel for the hummingbirds - and the birds pollinate the flowers.
