The inspirational makeover show is in Ireland. Tonight Linda Barker produces a Bohemian-style bedroom while Michael Jewitt has a church theme for a sitting-room. With a builder on each team this could give Handy Andy a quiet time. Presented by Carol Smillie.

For the second programme in this new series Carol Smillie and team tackle a couple of makeovers "just down the road from where they film Ballykissangel". It's not long before the rural peace is shattered by the noise of cement mixers, sanders and saws. Both sets of participants are handy (move over, Andy), having built their own homes and one of the women is a dressmaker (move over, Carol). The colours Michael Jewitt and Linda Barker choose for their respective rooms are quite lovely, but being designers they insist on stencilling, stippling and generally fiddling about with it until not a square inch of wall is left unadorned. Ever heard of less is more, guys? Typical too that the one item Barker loves above all else is the one the owners loathe. (JR)
