Sheila Hocken was born with cataracts on both eyes. which increasingly clouded her vision throughout childhood and eventually she became blind. But. at the age of 30. she underwent an operation which resulted in her being able to see clearly for the first time in her life She talks to MARGARET HOWARD about the impact of sight and her reaction to a world she had never properly seen before.
