Act 2: A Belfast Weaving Factory
Act 3: A Belfast Shipyard

Belfast's great industries, and the lives of the people who run them, inspired this new play by Thomas Carnduff , who for many years worked in a Belfast shipyard. It is the poignant story of the Armstrong family and the price they pay in wringing a meagre livelihood from shipyard and factory. It is written with the insight and sympathy of one who has lived among the people -one who is, in fact, of the people.
