8.00 Twenty Minutes: Mahler and Klimt David Huckvale traces the interweaving relationships between Gustav Mahler, the artist Gustav Klimt, and Mahler's wife
Alma. Mahler was known to be the model for the Knight in Klimt's large-scale Beethoven Frieze in Vienna, and repaid the compliment by conducting Beethoven at its unveiling. But it was Alma who first caught the eye of Klimt, when she was in her late teens, and began a romantic involvement four years before she met and married Mahler.
