Verity Sharp introduces highlights from the London Musicians
Collective's Festival of Experimental Music - recorded at London's South
Bank Centre in May - and focuses on American artists rarely seen in this country. New York minimalist composer Charlemagne Palestine plays his densely patterned piano music, the ROVA sax quartet from San Francisco play virtuoso compositions and improvise, and composer Pauline Oliveros presents her meditative, drone-based Deep Listening music. Verity Sharp also reports on the vibe of the festival and talks to the crowds, composers, performers and punters. Producer Philip Tagney
