J. H. Ingram
Harold Ingram, Manchester-born but bred and educated in Canada, is now in London learning to become an author ', a sedentary occupation that is a strange contrast to the exciting adventures he has had in the past. He is only twenty-six years old, yet he has hitch-hiked 3,000 miles to the Polar Sea, tramped 1,000 miles to the forbidden oasis of Tafilet in the Sahara, and spent five years fighting the threat of blindness. With all these experiences in strange places he can look back upon periods when he earned his living as an errand boy.
