An exchange of letters between Hugh O'Neill , Earl of Tyrone, and the court of Philip III of Spain, compiled and adapted by JOHN P. ROONEY.
After the Battle of Kinsale and the 'Flight of the Earls', Hugh O'Neill became an exile in Rome until his death in 1616. In his letters to Philip III and his courtiers, he pleaded for help in raising an army to continue his fight against the English forces in Ireland.
