This evening Stuart Maconie launches the 25th annual, 24-hour music marathon in which Radio 2 calls on listeners to phone in with a record request and pledge a donation. The event continues until 7pm tomorrow, when BBC Television's Children in Need appeal kicks off. Among the radio highlights is a live performance by Daniel Bedingfield.
