Blue Peter Special Assignment: 3: Saint Therese of Lisieux

on BBC One London

with Peter Purves
A series of four dramatised documentaries which re-create history in the places where it was made.

'My name is written in heaven.' So said the five-year-old Therese Martin. Years later she knelt at the feet of the Pope and begged to be allowed to enter the austere Carmelite Convent at the age of 15. Ten years later she died in Carmel, unknown beyond its walls. Yet, after 30 years, she was proclaimed a saint, and millions all over the world became devoted to Saint Therese, the Little Flower of Lisieux.
