Paul Guinery is joined by composer and conductor Malcolm Singer to explore the music of the Jewish Synagogue, from the earliest surviving medieval sources to the 20th century. The music was recorded at a concert given earlier this year at the Spitalfields Festival in London, where the BBC Singers and Malcolm Singer were joined by one of the most celebrated of modern cantors, Alberto Mizrahi. With lain Farrington (piano/organ).
