Appeal on behalf of The Church Army, by Mr. Gerald Barry
Contributions will be gratefully received by [address removed]

The work of the Church Army covers the widest possible range of activity. Some Homes are for motherless children, some for old people earning a scanty living by match-selling. Thousands of homeless men and women, and some hundreds of homeless children, are received each year. At this time of year the Army has a heavy programme of summer work. Its Holiday Homes are chiefly for poor women and children from the poorest homes. Other holiday arrangements are for working lads and young women, the poorest clergy and distressed gentlewomen
