Paul's Children

on BBC One London

This week the choirboys of St Paul's Cathedral are singing for their largest ever worldwide congregation. But what is life like for these 38 young musicians? This film, first shown at Christmas 1978, explores this little-known world from audition day to special performances before the Queen Mother, through a typical day starting at 7.0 in the morning to the glories of Christmas carols in the darkened Cathedral.

"The choristers' devotion was fully matched by the dedication and acute observation of this delightful documentary." (The Daily Telegraph)
