Wildlife on One

on BBC One London

Alligator Hole. In the Florida Everglades alligators preside over pools teeming with wildlife, and as the summer drought takes hold, the pools become ever more important. "Turtles, snakes and other alligators will travel miles to find an alligator hole," says producer Bernard Walton. "As the hole fills with animals, a feeding frenzy starts. Anything that moves, from tiny crickets to large fish, can be snapped up by the alligator. And with more alligators crowding together fights break out, occasionally leading to death."
David Attenborough explores the world of these living dinosaurs.
