When he was 16, in 1932, David Gasgoyne published his first book of poems; a year later his novel appeared, and in 1935 his book on surrealism. He moved to Paris where he was friends with Salvador Dali , Andre Breton ,
Max Ernst and Paul Eluard. He talks to
Sean Street about his work and life.
