Lives of Jesus: The Hidden Jesus

The last of four programmes in which Mark Tully attempts to reassess the life of Jesus for the next millennium.

Mark Tully goes to Egypt to visit the oldest Christian monastery in the world. He spends a night in the desert under the stars, discovers new gospels so dangerous that they were suppressed, and makes the journey to the top of Mount Sinai.
