From Bloomsbury Central Baptist Church, London. Conducted by the Minister, the Rev. F. Townley Lord
' Why should anyone bother to read the Bible? ' That is a question often asked, yet the Bible is still the world's best seller. In the People's Services during October the Rev. F. Townley Lord wants to make the Bible ' come alive ' for the modern reader. In this first service he explains how the Bible, a library of sixty-six separate books all in one volume, came into existence and the one great idea that links all these various books together. He shows how they contain the fascinating story of many centuries, and how through these books, and the vivid history that lies behind them, God still speaks to the needs of our modern world.
